Halo: Combat Evolved is one of the most influential video games ever made. Because now that I’m playing the next game in the series chronologically, I’m really not having as much fun. Last year I decided to start my journey with Halo: Reach, and while I really enjoyed it, I fear this was a mistake. I’m playing Halo now and I’m sharing some thoughts. This is in no small part due to me only getting my first Xbox console in 2017, but I digress.
That’s right, despite being a gamer for the better part of my life, the Halo series has completely passed me by.
